Community Advisory Committee Meeting - October 13, 2016



This presentation focuses on the causes of social emotional and behavioral health issues in children, the evidence of early childhood mental health disorders, and the neuroscience behind the impact of adverse experiences in a young child’s life. The presentation concludes with examples of fun, interactive, and playful strategies that parents and early childhood educators  can use to build connections with their children. These connections are essential to assist the child to develop self regulatory skills and patterns of behavior that will enable the child to be successful in school and in life.
