Student Data & Information System
The California Association of Health and Education Linked Professions (CAHELP) oversees student data management for the Desert Mountain Special Education Local Plan Area (DMSELPA) and Desert Mountain Charter Special Education Local Plan Area (DMCS). To support students effectively, we use the Special Education Information System (SEIS), a secure online platform designed to manage and track Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). SEIS allows schools and programs to access and update student records in real time while ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements.
Additionally, SEIS integrates with the California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS) to report required special education data to the California Department of Education (CDE). This reporting includes student demographics, eligibility, services, and placement information to ensure accurate state and federal reporting.
Training & Support
CAHELP provides hands-on training, instructional videos, and Q&A sessions to help users navigate SEIS and meet reporting requirements. Technical support is available for all member schools and districts.
